Masters of their fates: Julius Caesar

An event series presented with Bell Shakespeare.

Recorded on 22 February 2024

Comedies, Histories and Tragedies is an event series presented with Bell Shakespeare in line with the State Library of NSW’s 2023 exhibition For All Time: Shakespeare in Print, which celebrated the 400th anniversary of the publication of Shakespeare’s First Folio. In a series of monthly panel talks each focusing on a specific play from the Folio, some of Australia’s pre-eminent Shakespeare minds and artists discuss the Bard, his extraordinary body of work, and his creative influence throughout time. Featured plays include Richard III, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Julius Caesar.

In an evening of discussion and celebration of Julius Caesar, Bell Shakespeare’s Joanna Erskine is joined by a panel of experts including James Evans, Maryanne Fonceca, Associate Professor Huw Griffiths and Chris Taylor.
