Ingmar Bjorksten - letters received from Patrick White 1962-1985

Ingmar Bjorksten, Swedish critic and novelist, met Patrick White at White's home at Castle Hill in 1962. Bjorksten was so impressed by White's work that he campaigned to increase his international reputation. Bjorksten's efforts were influential in securing the Nobel Prize for Literature for Patrick White in 1973. Bjorksten's critical study 'Patrick White: epikern fran Australien' was published in the same year.
