Comedies, Histories and Tragedies is an event series presented with Bell Shakespeare in line with the State Library of NSW’s 2023 exhibition For All Time: Shakespeare in Print, which celebrated the 400th anniversary of the publication of Shakespeare’s First Folio. In a series of monthly panel talks each focusing on a specific play from the Folio, some of Australia’s pre-eminent Shakespeare minds and artists discuss the Bard, his extraordinary body of work, and his creative influence throughout time. Featured plays include Richard III, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Julius Caesar.

In an evening of discussion, performance and celebration of Richard III, Bell Shakespeare’s Joanna Erskine is joined by Founding Artistic Director of Bell Shakespeare and actor John Bell AO OBE, actress, playwright and screenwriter Kate Mulvany OAM, actor and comedian Thomas Campbell and Associate Professor Huw Griffiths.

This initiative is proudly supported by the NSW Government through the Culture Up Late Program.
