Early Stage 1, Stage 1 and Stage 2

Join Belinda Murrell for a fun, interactive session and enjoy stories about her writing as a child, how she became a children’s author, and the key elements of narrative. During the session, Belinda will use examples from her junior fiction books, such as Aussie Kids: Meet Zoe and Zac at the Zoo, the Lulu Bell series which was inspired by her childhood living in a vet hospital, and her royally fun new series The Daredevil Princess. Belinda’s fun stories, photographs and lively Q&A will encourage kids to get excited about books, reading and writing.

About the author:

At about the age of eight, Belinda Murrell began writing stirring tales of adventure, mystery and magic in hand-illustrated exercise books. As an adult, she combined two of her great loves – writing and travelling the world – and worked as a travel writer, journalist and public relations consultant. Now, inspired by her own three children, Belinda is an award-winning, internationally published children’s author with a history of writing in her family that spans over 200 years.
