About Nathan Luff

Nathan is one of five boys and grew up (just not very high) on a farm outside of Yass, New South Wales. He has always loved books and now gets to write them!

Chicken Stu (Scholastic, 2010), was Nathan’s first book and it is inspired by the antics he got up to with his four brothers on their home farm. It was followed in 2013 by Bad Grammar (Walker Books), a story set at a remote boarding school for rough boys. More recently Nathan has written five books in a junior series called The Nerd Herd collaborating with the very talented illustrator, Chris Kennett. 2023 saw the release of the first two titles in a new series for 8+ called Family Disasters, also featuring illustrations by Chris. The third Family Disasters book has just been released.
