Met by moonlight: A Midsummer Night’s Dream

An event series presented with Bell Shakespeare.

Recorded on 9 September 2023

Comedies, Histories and Tragedies is an event series presented with Bell Shakespeare in line with the State Library of NSW’s 2023 exhibition For All Time: Shakespeare in Print, which celebrated the 400th anniversary of the publication of Shakespeare’s First Folio. In a series of monthly panel talks each focusing on a specific play from the Folio, some of Australia’s pre-eminent Shakespeare minds and artists discuss the Bard, his extraordinary body of work, and his creative influence throughout time. Featured plays include Richard III, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Julius Caesar.

In an evening of discussion and celebration of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Bell Shakespeare’s James Evans is joined by a panel of experts including Virginia Gay, Associate Professor Huw Griffiths and Imogen Sage.

This initiative is proudly supported by the NSW Government through the Culture Up Late Program.
